Euro Lottery Winner – was it you?

So? Was it was it you? Wot won the lottery? Well it wasn’t me. At least I don’t think so. I gave my £2 to a friend to buy and since I haven’t heard it can’t be me. Though, I will admit I am hoping, you know on the off chance that he hasn’t got up and checked yet…
Oh the things I would do!
First and foremost £6 million to Cystic Fibrosis Trust so they can carry on their good work straight away. Oh tell Charlie he need never work again, pay the school fees like forever and those of my nieces, nephews, god children…not that they’ll appreciate it. I mean all that money and sheesh all she did was pay for me to be incarcerated….I promise loves you’ll appreciate the gesture one day.
Set up a business rescuing ancient buildings, a string of farms doing things the old fashioned way with rare breeds, paying everything for everyone so no more money worries and just in case you think I am being far too altruistic
…an Aston Martin.

It would be the first thing I’d do: drop in on the Aston Martin showroom just off Piccadilly.
I used to pass it every day as I walked to work when I lived in London. Inside the privileged glossy showroom there’d be these beautiful pieces of design. Elegance. Such curves and so utterly wonderfully substantially British. At least they were then some 15 years ago.
Can you imagine going somewhere where you never dreamed you’d go and knowig that for the first time you can actually buy something you desire. That it is no longer a dream but a reality.
But which would it be the DB9 Vantage, the Volante? Would I search out the prettiest of them all the DB5? Like the one used in the James Bond Movie? Or what about a car as old as myself but perfectly formed? The a DB6 Mk1 Vantage – yours for only £95,000...
Oh the headiness! Would I be able to speak? Would I be struck dumb by my luck? Would I dare?
It would be such fun!

The car that I would buy would be a pink volkswagon beetle! How's that for wild?

It wasn't me either. I'd have gone for the Aston Martin too and all my friends and family were going to get a million each. Sigh. Next time perhaps?

Preseli Mags - you slipped in there quiet like! Yep there's always another time. I find it so much better working out ways to spend it while I am in the car driving endlessly than getting upset about the latest thing my in-laws etc have done to wind me up. I tell my husband buying a ticket is cheap therapy!

Nor me. You could take over Rupert's shamed empire and get your own internet connection company. My dream car is the Austin Healy 3000. Until then, the old subaru will have to do.

Legend - ooohhhh forgot about Austin Healy's. How Could I! Such fabulous cars. Loved the two tone bit. My fav Austin Healy was the frog Eyed Sprite. nearly bought one when I was at college but it needed too much work so got a 1953 Spilt Screen Morris minor...loved that car! Though my father didn't...oooops!

Wasn't me either - but I did get an e-mail from lotto HQ informing me they had a special message - I had won £2.50!!! I am pleased to announce it hasn't changed me as a person! lol!

What's the Euro Lottery? Do they sell many lots through it?
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with these quaint European events.

Mrs Nesbitt - Congratulatiosn and so pleased to hear that your win has not changed you one bit!
Rob bear - Just a quaint little game we play for about £161 million pounds....normally I wouldn't get so excited about it but the only other thing in the newsr was about newspapers which as we all know will only be tomorrow fish and chip wrapping...

£161 is a lot of quaint. And Mr. Murdock may be lucky if he can get a job wrapping fish & chips when this is all through. (Apparently they're asking questions about his activity on this side of the pond, too. A couple of American Senators are not amused.)

Um, let's make that £161 million is a lot of quaint. (What's a Pound or two, eh?)

Rob bear - ooohhhh Mr Murdoch's been anaughty boy over the pond has he? Figures!

Go on you know you want to...
