I am wired, revved up, boxing, dipping weaving and feel as if I am on top of the world and can do anything and all because …I had a latte this morning.
I have achieved incredible things today which normally would have eluded me. I have completed the laundry, washed the floors, gone to the bottle bank, paid my bills, done three interviews, gone to the DIY shop, sorted the tyres on my car, dealt with the builders, ordered lights, sorted downstairs loo problem all by myself, picked up the boys without being late, cooked a hot supper, read to my boys, done the chickens, sorted the dogs, cleaned the cat litter, washed up AND put away, tidied my room, and am now able to write.
I feel like Lynette Scavco in that episode of Desperate Housewives in Series One where she’s struggling to cope with her four children until Preston and Porter are prescribed medication for ADD (attention deficiency disorder). After hearing from another Mum how these little pill are “mommy’s little helpers” she decides NOT to medicate her kids and takes them herself so she can make the costumes for a school play and be hailed as Super Mom
Like Lynette though I know I will collapse in a heap due to being over stimulated by coffee but boy what a ride!
You might be thinking why on earth a little Latte should have that kind of effect. You might be thinking was there more to this Latte than meets the eye? But honest it was a perfectly normal latte, the reason for its amazing effect on me is that I have stopped taking caffeine in any form for a few months now.
II have been left a little shaken by the strength of the reaction but it only goes to prove that caffeine is probably the only reason why half the things get done in this world! I also wonder if I managed to get all that done in the space of four hours today what I might have achieved if I had had a double expresso….
Not worth thinking about really as I have yet to come down from the Latte!

A little caffeine at the right time works wonders!Try it with the chocolate too!!
Come on over, I'll feed you some Bosnian coffee and let you loose on the crisis in Egypt, finding a cure for cancer and sorting out the area underneath the stairs in my house!
Von - far too tempting both the verbotten things at the same time!
Pants - Super Weasle to the rescue...but I might baulk at the understairs cupboard!
I'd have you sort some of our pressing issues , but the caffeine might have worn off by the time your flight arrived. Better make that a double next time ( and let me know in advance):)
Legend - just found out the downside of caffeine; I don't seem to be able to sleep!!!!!!!! However for pressing concerns I might take teh risk.
My, you were efficient today! Congratulations! Of course, you were drinking the human equivalent of jet fuel, but, . . .
With others, I would prefer choco-latte. I understand you have good reason to forbear, and I congratulate you!
Miss Sadie - Sacrily efficient!
As in you scared yourself!
Whoa! That is scary.
Miss sadie - I really did scare myself and now I really am paying for it - I'm exhausted!!!!!
I feel exhausted just reading that list! So have had to make myself a nice big coffee...
Just imagine if you'd had a cappucino.....Or, Heaven forbid an espresso.
We'd have had world peace by lunchtime
Mud - a nice white frothy one wuth a big squirt of cream on top and just maybe a little added something such as whisy in the bottom: my fav!
Paradiselostintranslation - I don't think Mubarak would have stood a chance!

Madness and Mayhem - you should see me today utterly bloomin' useless to man and beast!
Oh you're so funny. I can just picture you whizzing away over there at Whippet Towers...
The only way I exist is on three cups of expresso through the day. AND I sleep like a babe... snore like a elephant seal....
