A day of rest

Today is a day of rest.
To do nothing.
And by doing nothing I am exhausted. But I’m not fighting it, I am embracing it.
I’ve lain on my bed with the dogs in a sophorific heap.
Read my book.
Had a deep, hot languorous bath.
I’ve sat and just stared out the window.
I’m warm and comfortable.
It’s a quiet day.
I’ve ignored the telephone and stopped the clocks.
It’s a little piece of heaven before I have to come back to reality with a bump.
Take a day out sometime.
Slow down.
Do nothing.
And don’t feel guilty about it!

I'm thinking of sneaking a similar day next Wednesday - a day to catch up with myself and do some things for me

Trouble is not feeling guilty about doing it

Muddling Along - do it! And as long as it is planned you wont feel guilty!
Jen Walshaw - I needed it :)

You only feel guilty because other people are dependent on you. When you are on your own, you have no such feelings.

Well done, Ms. Weasle! I trust you have thoroughly enjoyed your day. You needed it, you deserved it, and you took it!

(Confounded Blogger and all it's changes.)
