Hopping bloomin' mad I am. There’s me being ill and all for a whole week and not eating ‘cos I don’t feel like it and when I get out of the bath just now I hop on the old scales to make me feel better because I haven’t been eating and I am bound to have got thinner and guess what!!!!!!!
I weigh exactly the same as I did a week ago.
There are times when I think the Gods are not playing nice…

See next week - a weight loss I would think!
It's all this 'hopping' you talk about - turns fat to muscle! Lie down and let the weight drop off ;-)
I thought you were going to say you'd gained a few pounds! Staying the same is not bad given that alternative.
Nothing for it but to down a bottle of Sauvignon. Kind of a counterbluff approach to weight loss. And on the plus side at least your body hasn't gone into 'starvation mode' so therefore shouldn't hang on to any new calorie and refuse to ever let it leave your thighs.
Oh no!
It's the scales, they are playing up today, something to do with the moon and Venus and.....
;)
(Hope you are feeling better)
Don't worry , you were just waterlogged after soaking in the bath .
"Starvation diets" actually change your metabolism, so your body hangs on to whatever it's got.
Better to sneak off an ounce or two here and there, and by the week you've lost a pound, or two.
You can trust the Bear on this.
I have just come across your website and I’m wondering if there is any chance that you would be able to link to one of our websites from your site. I can provide content for a permanent blog post. I am willing to pay for any permanent or offer a reciprocal link to your site if you are interested.
If you have any questions or if you have a list of prices it would be great if you could let me know
Many Thanks

Go and have that enormous slice of cake then, is what I say. Grrr. How MADDENING! But must say, thought you were going to say that the weight had gone UP. Phew that it didn't. Most important thing is that you feel better? Hope so. xxx
Listen to the Bear. Also - your body is able to "reconfigure" (lose inches) without losing weight, so the scale is not your friend in any case.
If you're serious about wanting to lose weight, check out the "paleo diet" (Google Robb Wolf or Sarah Fragoso for good info.) I've dropped 30 pounds so far, and my hubby has lost almost 60.
