If you invented something what would it be?

The greatest inventor ever has to be Heath Robinson. I have always adored his view of life. It greatly appeals to me.
If you invented something what would it be? Bare Naked Mummy invented this one and I think it has legs...

Seemples - an automatic time organiser.
Something that helped you to have enough time to do all those things you have to do so that you are never late, you never forget things and you are Mrs Ohsocalmandserene.
Just think of it.
All the things done. Everything organised.
The relief. The bliss.
(And the fact I wouldn't be bolloxed by my boss for failing to hit deadline - AGAIN!)

For the fun of it what would you invent?

I would imvent something that allowed me to take on completely the pain of someone else's grief for a while. You couldn't take it on for a long time but just enough to give them a pain free period where they could see what it felt like again to have peace! I know it sounds soppy but so many times when I've seen someone in deep pain I know they can't see past that to a lighter future where it doesn't hurt so much - I've been there too. Just a glimpse might give them hope enough to see things would be alright one day. Daft eh?!

MOB - that is really the most wonderful invention ever and one I think we all wish we had when faced with grief especially among our loved ones and friends. I don't think it's daft at all!

MOB's is brilliant

I would like to invent something that would make more hours in a day (without me getting tired).

MOB's is brilliant, and the thought that someone would make that their dream invention is so lovely.

How about memory boost chip? You could wear it clipped behind your ear, and it would make good all those little lapses.

Or a clean laundry folding machine?

I think Cait O'Connor's idea is fab too. Perhaps we could just invent a watch that stopped time for everyone except the wearer (there was a children's tv programme called Bernard's Watch which was based on this idea). That would have the same effect, but better. You could get on with stuff while everyone else was frozen in time. I think that would be better than having to share the extra hours with everyone else.

Everyone else's inventions are nobler than mine ( which doesn't actually surprise me , the Queen of Shallow ).
But I'd invent a machine that could do that whole hairdresser's conversation thing for me .... Where you're going for your holidays , where they're going for their holidays ....

I would like a clock that lied about the real time every day, but not just by being fast, or slow by the same amount each day - always different . . . so that it kept me on my toes and I was never ever late for anything ever again . . .

A phone that I could progamme in the numbers I don't want to talk to and the phone then tells fibs about where I am . . . :-)

I did like MOB's too though . . .

Cait - Love it!
Iota - A memory chip would be so cool but the clean laundry folding machine would that come with built in ironing function too?
SmitoniusandSonata - Hairdressers conversation machine hopefully with plug ins such as "what do you do" for boring parties, and the "I need to speak to the bank manager/british rail/British Telecom etc"!
WW - The phone one has to be a winner esp if it can screen!

Go on you know you want to...
